Instruction has effectsly affected the advancement in numerous viewpoints during the previous hundreds of years. This pattern, has started to show that training is assuming a huge job in financial matters, social orders and condition the world over. Instruction can advance monetary development and worldwide development. It can impact the populace in richness and mortality, animate the advancement of the poor fragments and advance harmony and solidness of the general public. With respect to condition, the improvement of instruction can take care of natural issues by raising individual mindfulness, yet could likewise prompt a danger to the earth. A lot of inquires about have indicated that the expansion of the quantity of young ladies profited by training has prompted a country’s per capita monetary development (Smith, 1999). Additionally, as indicated by Brown (2008), lost instruction will prompt a more extensive hole between the rich and the poor that may build precariousness sources in social orders. This exposition will investigate how training has impacted countries’ advancement in financial matters, social orders and condition all the more explicitly. Furthermore, a few proposals will likewise be led to support more advance in the improvement of nations. As found in a lot of looks into, training has an unmistakable constructive outcome on advancing monetary development. For example, as indicated by Goujon (2008), tertiary instruction for more youthful individuals can prompt more impressive impacts than that on elderly folks individuals. In any case, a reverse case occurs in auxiliary training. That implies government should concentrate on finishing the widespread essential instruction and choose which sort of training can carefully demonstrate country’s monetary development. In spite of the fact that the impacts of the profitability are not generally positive, training, particularly for ladies, will be a crucial part in accomplishing a practical turn of events (Goujon, 2008). UNESCO (2006) states that training can effectsly affect farming efficiency, the status of ladies and controlling the populace. In creating nations, the financial improvement consistently relies upon the agribusiness. Closeness, the profitability of horticulture consistently relies upon the farmers’ training level. Taking everything into account, training could prompt extraordinary improvement in workforce which advances a country’s financial. In China as well as in different nations, the improvement of instruction assumes a noteworthy job in countries’ monetary development. That implies an extraordinary difference in connection among economy and training is advanced far and wide because of the patterns of worldwide monetary turn of events. As per Goh and Gopinathan (2008), in Singapore, the change of instruction framework is a solid central to improve its intensity in South Asia. Youngsters can pick various types of schools to get instruction in Singapore, for example, English-talking schools and Chinese-talking schools. Understudies have the chance to concentrate in various societies and learn various abilities. Therefore, Singapore has an extraordinary increment in economy as a result of an enormous number of talented and high-instructed workforces. Correspondingly, in China, the legislature has utilized significant tertiary change in instruction (Li, Whalley, Zhan, Zhao, 2008). This change prompts a tremendous effect on economy and furthermore the training structure everywhere throughout the world. The Chinese government is targeting overhauling the nature of gifted work and pulling up the beneficial capacity. Indeed, after China’s advanced education change, different nations start to search for a fitting structure for their nearby instruction. This precisely shows a closer connection among economy and training is advanced by the legislatures around the world. Nonetheless, not all the nations are happy to put resources into transforming the nearby training. Various mentalities towards training have come about in countries’ financial aspects advancement turning out to be depolarized. A few nations don't pay heed to their instruction frameworks, the greater part of which are creating nations. Their administrations have not perceived the hugeness of instruction and the impacts that training could have on their monetary turn of events. For instance, Mauritius is a little island which is a lot littler than Tanzania. Be that as it may, the GDP in Mauritius was $ 12,800 while in Tanzania was $ 700 of every 2006 (Bloom, Canning, Chan, 2006). The primary motivation behind why this incredible hole exists is that the mentalities to advanced education are altogether different. While Mauritius was concentrating on the quality and amount of advanced education, Tanzania was all the while confronting the low understudy to-staff proportions in view of its unnecessary significant expenses in advanced education. Indeed, this was an endless loop in Tanzania. Blossom (2006) shows that despite the fact that the administration has put away aâ lot of cash to manufacture colleges, for example, UDSM, the social monetary issues were disturbed. Because of the financial issues, government needed to lessen the speculation to colleges. All things considered, fixing the connection among training and economy is so hard for Tanzania government. Interestingly, Mauritius government has just fabricated an ideal circle and the country’s economy is quickly developing. Instruction has additionally impactsly affected the advancement of numerous nations in populace in a few different ways. From one viewpoint, it could decrease richness, in other words, as levels of female instruction rise, fruitfulness will fall. Earthy colored (2008) states that for arriving at considerable decreases in richness, the absolute best switch might be the development of women’s optional training. Training and vocations have become significant elements for ladies wedding later and having less youngsters since instruction gives females greater work possibilities and openings. A decent delineation of this is numerous young ladies have been drawn and profited by the school lunch program in the US since 1946. Then again, it can advance children’s wellbeing and decrease mortality due to mothers’ better training. It has been accounted for by UNICEF (2008) that there is a basic association between under-5 death rates and mothers’ instruction accomplishment. For instance, the incitement of training has realized extensive variety in Islamic World that Organization of the Islamic Conference nations represent 11 of the 16 most elevated paces of under-five mortality on the planet. Additionally, going to schools assists kids with retaliating with different ailments, for example, AIDS. Schools advise and teach understudies before they are contaminated with the ailment about the ways of life that quicken its spread. The entirety of this clarifies training really influences the advancement of a nation by decreasing the mortality of its populace. Table 1: Average yearly decrease rates in OIC nations on The fame of essential instruction is having a crucial influence in cultivating prevalence of the way to deal with the hardest to-arrive at portions of society. Widespread essential training is accessible to more kids in poor families these days by means of a few different ways. Right off the bat, through the endeavors of executing instructive plans, some advancement has been made, particularly to the poorestâ segments of society. For instance, Education for All arrangement, has intended to advance instruction by offering money related help to nations which have significant designs for general essential training. This arrangement was created by the World Bank which is a significant wellspring of money related and different sorts of help to creating nations around the globe. Attributable to this arrangement, the figure of children’s achievement of elementary school has ascended from 78% in 2000 to 83% by 2005. Besides, as indicated by Brown (2008), some underdeveloped nations have set up Girls Advisory Committees, for example, Ethiopia, which to a great extent supports the enrollment rates increasing in the rustic zones. These gatherings sent delegates to convince guardians in impoverishment to keep their kids in school and a few nations like Bangladesh and Brazil, give grants or payments to the guardians and help the poor acquire essential training. Hence, all inclusive instruction is animating the advancement of the poor fragments by both applying instructive plans and establishing significant boards of trustees. Likewise, training can advance harmony and soundness in a nation. As the Nobel Prize-winning business analyst Amartya Sen who supports training prominence centers, â€Å"Illiteracy and innumeracy are a more prominent danger to mankind than terrorism.† That implies lost instruction broadens the hole between the rich and poor people and afterward prompts the incorporated world remaining in a precarious position inevitably. Proof has demonstrated that training adds to narrowing the hole that helps construct a progressively steady and agreeable society. A case of this is with quick expanding number of enrolments since 1999 in China, the hole in access among urban and country territories is step by step lessening (Li, Whalley. Zhan and Zhao, 2008). The confirmation paces of colleges in provincial China have expanded a great deal and graduates in poor families have the chances to accomplish cheerful possibilities. Plan (2008) has detailed that instruction benefits people’s business and makes more assets accessible to them. This evades craving, disease and other inconsistent elements expanding the peril of the demolition of world’s structure. Training no uncertainty lessens the social weight and advances soundness in the improvement of nations. Instruction unquestionably can help take care of natural issues, and this can beâ demonstrated in the part of improving individual familiarity with the ecological issues. For example, through being taught, individuals will realize that their environmental factors can be hazardous for living if there aren’t enough strides to be accomplished for a superior domain and afterward they will have an awareness of other's expectations for the strength of their regular old neighborhood in their own. As per Dobson (2003), training for economical improvement m

Public money is like holy water; everyone helps himself to it. ~ Italian Proverb Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness— these were the unalienable rights our forefathers bestowed upon our new nation when drafting the Declaration of Independence; what a far cry from independent our nation has become. Our forefathers guaranteed life and freedom, and the pursuit of happiness; happiness was not a guarantee, but set forth as a challenge for every individual to define and actively pursue for themselves. Surely, when our forefathers declared independence from an oppressive and overbearing king they did not intend for the American Government to become a maternal state that coddles its citizens. Sadly, we have become just that: a nation of citizens dependent upon our government for everything from putting food in our stomachs, to saving money for our retirement. The origins of the concept of social welfare are undetermined, however, during the 1800’s, the United States began establishing and reforming social welfare programs funded by the American tax dollars to assist the poor, disabled, and elderly. As time has progressed, more and more citizens have become dependent on social welfare, causing its virtuous purpose to become muddled amongst a sea of outstretched hands. The Italians knew what they were talking about; public money is like holy water, many see it as an unalienable and natural right bestowed upon them by God. But like public money, as the pool of holy water sits

Due to the low level of Government interaction with the economy and the people, there were high levels of abuses in the workplace. Fewer laws were made to constrain these and looser regulations were obeyed. Many of these abuses were brought on by the employers to reach optimum profits without consideration for the effect it would have on the workers. One of the worst abuses that the employers took advantage of was child labor. Companies could use child labor as a cheap and large pool of laborers because most of the parents werent making enough money to support the family alone. Free Essays on A Reflection Of The Gospel Of St. Mathew

A Reflection of the Gospel of St. Mathew: â€Å"Jesus and the Pharisees: Friends and/or Enemies!† The Gospel According to Mathew was the first of the four gospels in the New Testament. It reflects both the view that it was the first to be written, a view that goes back to the late second century A.D., and the esteem in which it was held by the church; no other was so frequently quoted in the literature of earliest Christianity. The Gospel According to Mathew presents the story of Jesus, the demands of Christian discipleship, and the breaking-in of the new and final age through the ministry but particularly through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Readers learn of actions that are approved of and actions that are frowned upon. One of those actions is the love of enemies, family, and friends. The first part of the gospel starts out with a genealogy of Jesus starting with Abraham, the father of Israel. Yet at the beginning of that genealogy Jesus is designated as â€Å" the son of David, the son of Abraham†. I interpreted the meaning of this first section two different ways. First I interpreted it to mean that Mathew was trying to point out that Jesus is the son of Abraham as well as David. This strengthens the Son of God because it does not prevent Jesus from being Son of David, Son of Abraham through the ancestry of Joseph since Joseph accepted Jesus as his own. This beginning was very confusing to me. It was hard to keep track of who was who and how they became part of the story. The main thing I want to focus on is Jesus and the Pharisees: Friends and/or Enemies. This topic seems to come up a lot in everyday life today. In little quarrels between loved ones, friends, or neighbors. Mathew gives an idea of when hate has been used and when it should be used. Writing and childrens learning in the 21st century Essay

Writing and childrens learning in the 21st century - Essay Example However, as a result, this might create pedagogic implications to a practitioner. In the 21st century, technology has been encouraged to be used throughout the learning activities in the classroom (Eristi et al, 2012). Throughout the 21st century, there has been an extensive use of technology. This is particularly true with the manner in which technology has been introduced to the classrooms and is still developing further. Hence, many of the learners in today’s society, including those in primary years are involved in using technology of some sort, whether inside or outside the classroom. Most of the technologies that have been implemented in the classrooms include projectors, smart white boards and Ipads as well. Thus, as with the implementation of these technologies, it is vital that students’ learning process deal with technology. According to the Board of Studies Syllabus, (2012), it is a key component. Through an objective A, ‘communicate through speaking, listening, reading, writing, viewing and representing’ the outcomes in the classrooms do indicate the use of technology. This is seen through outcomes, ENe-3A, EN1-3A, EN2-3A, EN3-3A, (Board of Studies, 2012). Most importantly is that, as the learners are involved in technology, they get to create texts for different reasons and audiences. For instance, learners may use their computers at home to compose a text as a message to a friend on a blog. However, while in the classroom, the learner may use the classroom computer to write a story or even analyse literary texts found online. Thus, while at home, the learner creates a text using technology for different purposes and different audiences, whereas in the classroom, the audience is the teacher who is expected to read the story and award marks based on the performance of the student. At home the audience is a friend whom the child probably is chatting with. When children experience the learning required of them or

The Impact of Employee Participation for Transparency Research Paper

The Impact of Employee Participation for Transparency - Research Paper Example The selection process needs to be ethical, legal, documented, transparent and should involve the current or existing employees of the firm (Larson & Gray, 2006). The participatory approach is also crucial towards the implementation of team working activities. According to renowned scholars, whenever a company is thinking of bringing a new employee in the organization, their potential collaboration with the coworkers and fit in the system is important. As a result of that when an employee itself is a part of the recruitment process they become more committed to making the new joining employee get accustomed to the situation and succeed in their professional life. Hence, it is evident that employee participation in the process of employee recruitment is a beneficial factor for the firm (Love & Bullen, 2009). This research paper will, however, concentrate on the hiring and recruitment process of the public agencies and to what extent participation of the employees would ensure transpare ncy in the recruitment process. Summary of the literature Selecting and retaining the valuable and efficient employees is a key to business success. Employees who seek continuous skill development, as well as add value to the organization, are the most vital resources of the organization. Thus, it is extremely important to value the employees as well as put more efforts in selecting the right candidates. The principal element of any recruitment plan is to enhance the quality of staffing and developing the overall productivity of the organization. ... g employees and hiring the new employees is an area of business where the company is expected to maintain high levels of transparency, lucidity, and responsibility. Although, the same is evident in many companies whereas some companies often fail in maintain transparency in the recruitment process and are alleged of getting involved in biases or deceptive activities. According to Mumford (2011), one of the most useful ways to maintain transparency in the recruitment process is to involve the existing employees in the recruitment process. The same concept is applicable to the public agencies as well. Since the principal aim of these organizations is to make the welfare of the general public and profit making intention are on the second list, high levels of honesty and veracity in the recruitment process are expected from them. A number of research studies have shown that the recruitment process of the organizations differs in various aspects. For example, some companies have lengthy s creening process whereas some have a unique evaluation system. Nevertheless, what is important is to maintain a greater level of lucidity.

Unemployment research Essay Example for Free

Unemployment research Essay Unemployment From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Unemployment (or Joblessness), as defined by the International Labour Organization, occurs when people are without Jobs and they have actively sought work within the past four weeks. [2] The unemployment rate is a measure of the prevalence of unemployment and it is calculated as a percentage by dividing the number of unemployed individuals by all individuals currently in the labour force. In a 2011 news story, BusinessWeek reported, More than 200 million people globally are out of work, a record high, as almost two-thirds of advanced economies and half of eveloping countries are experiencing a slowdown in employment growth, the group There remains considerable theoretical debate regarding the causes, consequences and solutions for unemployment. Classical economics, neoclassical economics and the Austrian School of economics argue that market mechanisms are reliable means of resolving unemployment. citation needed] These theories argue against interventions imposed on the labour market from the outside, such as unionization, minimum wage laws, taxes, and other regulations that they claim discourage the hiring of workers. Keynesian economics emphasizes the cyclical ature of unemployment and recommends interventions it claims will reduce unemployment during recessions. This theory focuses on recurrent supply shocks that suddenly reduce aggregate demand for goods and services and thus reduce demand for workers. Keynesian models recommend government interventions designed to increase demand for workers; these can include financial stimuli, publicly funded Job creation, and expansionist monetary policies. Georgists, half a century before Keynes, also noted the cyclical nature but focused on the role of speculation in land which pushes up economic rent. Because rent must be paid mostly from wages (yield of labor) but also from interest (yield of capital), economic activity cannot be sustained in the rent bubble, which finally burst resulting in recessions or depressions. Once the speculation is wrung out of system the cycle of land speculation begins again. [4] Henry George therefore advocated the taxation of land values (Single Tax) to stop land speculation and in order to eliminate taxation of labor and capital. George opposed land nationalization and Marxs theories. Marxism focuses on the relations between the owners and the workers, whom, it claims, the wners pit against one another in a constant struggle for Jobs and higher wages. The unemployment produced by this struggle is said to benefit the system by reducing wage costs for the owners. For Marxists the causes of and solutions to unemployment require abolishing capitalism and shifting to socialism or communism. In addition to these three comprehensive theories of unemployment, there are a few categorizations of unemployment that are used to more precisely model the effects of unemployment within the economic system. The main types of unemployment include structural unemployment which focuses on structural problems in the conomy and inefficiencies inherent in labour markets including a mismatch between the supply and demand ot laborers witn necessary skill sets . Structural arguments emphasize causes and solutions related to disruptive technologies and globalization. Discussions of frictional unemployment focus on voluntary decisions to work based on each individuals valuation of their own work and how that compares to current wage rates plus the time and effort required to find a Job. Causes and solutions for frictional unemployment often address barriers to entry and wage rates. Behavioral economists highlight individual biases in decision making and often nvolve problems and solutions concerning sticky wages and efficiency wages.

college :: essays research papers

My First Year at Lewis My college experience started about two years ago. I knew it was not going to be easy, but I was unsure of what was ahead of me. The one word that describes the feelings I first had during my first year at Lewis is responsibility, which I experienced academically, socially and even economically. My college experience was not like any other college student would describe it. Most college students say that you have a lot of time on your hands because classes are so spread out, but things did not go this way for me. Aviation Maintenance at Lewis University has a different way of doing things.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  everybody knows that college is academically a step higher than high school. I grew more responsible academically because my classes where very straight to the point, and the teachers spoke with great knowledge. Aviation Maintenance has a different schedule here at Lewis University. For me that meant 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. classes with one hour break. I had to keep up with tests and homework in very short periods. It took a lot of responsibility for me to accomplish this. I felt I had to change many things in my life. I had to get more sleep, finish homework fast, and make time to study for tests. Everybody in my class felt the same pressure.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  I also grew more responsible socially as I met more friends and became more acquainted with them. My classmates felt the same tough schedule for Aviation Maintenance as well. Everyday we had â€Å"shop† class from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. This meant we had to get along in order to get work done. Shop classes where very interesting and involved a lot of hands on and group work. Responsibility becomes a big roll in helping each other and accomplishing our tasks especially when it comes to these classes.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Finally, I became more responsible economically as I commuted to school every morning and felt the pressure of keeping a close budget. My first class was at 8:00 a.m., which meant getting up at 6:00 a.m. and leaving at 6:30 a.m. Sleep became a necessity, while at the same time getting studies done was also necessary. Time was an issue that had to be controlled well and this became hard for me because time was never an issue before.

Kite boarding is an extreme sport combining balance and coordination with the unique technique of keeping a kite in the air. Kite boarders have an unrivaled experience as they let the wind control their moves and can sometimes reach heights of 30 feet, and if they skilled and adventurous they may be able to do flips and other stunts before smoothly returning to the ocean. It is recommended that the new kite boarder takes a few lessons to learn proper techniques before venturing out on a kite boarding adventure. Surfing is a timeless and classic sport. Surfing like kite boarding is a surface water sport where the participant rides waves while balancing on a surf board. Surfing can actually be broken into many categories including body boarding, windsurfing, and body surfing. Body boarding is best described by using your body to ride a foam board over waves. Windsurfing uses both aspects of surfing and sailing. A windsurf board is a surf board with a sail attached. The windsurfer steers themselves with the sail and rides the wave as a surfer would. Body surfing is actually what the name implies, using one’s body to ride the waves. Body surfers are usually equipped with nothing by swim fins to take on the task of riding the breaking waves. Sailing is a leisurely recreation sport in which a person, or group of people, steer a ship or sail boat using sails. Sail boats move forward because of the inertia caused when the wind is caught in the sail. Sailing is a technical sport and the proper skills must be learned before heading out to sea. Scuba diving is another popular sport among the islands. Scuba requires a certification because of the danger involved. There are many short certification courses for tourists to partake in. Hawaii is an exotic place with many things to offer the adventurer or sports enthusiast. It is important to learn the techniques of the sports one wishes to indulge themselves in to ensure a safe and happy stay on the islands.

Under What Conditions (If Ever) Should States Become...

INTRODUCTION: It has previously been held that, the States should not interfere with the domestic political affairs of other countries, since all sovereign states should have complete control of their own citizenry, free from outside interference. This is in line with the Policy Agenda of the U.S. Department of State which states that the goals of the foreign policy are â€Å"to create a more secure, democratic, and prosperous world for the benefit of the American people and the international community† (Kissinger 2001, p4) The foreign policy of the United States is the guiding principle for which the United States interacts with foreign nations and sets standards of interaction for its corporations, and even its citizens. However,†¦show more content†¦(Hrea.org p132). It is in every essence different from humanitarian aid which is provided by non-governmental organizations such as Red Cross. Humanitarian aid attempts to find a way around political affiliations. For humanitarian intervention, use of military force is a central feature, though it has fundamental values that support it such as justice, state sovereignty, world order and politics. Moreover, the principles that govern humanitarian intervention are just cause, proportionality, last resort, good over harm, right intention and reasonable prospect. However, humanitarian intervention is not the only means by which a nation could get involved in other nations’ politics. There’s always room for diplomacy. Diplomacy could come in the form of material incentives. These are threats of punishment to non-cooperation, swell as rewards for cooperation. There’s also imposition of third party preferred outcomes. However the challenge with such strategies is that only strong states have the wherewithal to make significant material offers and threats and the parties directly involved in a conflict often care more about its outcome than third-party states care about ending it, so the credibility of such threats and offers is often in doubt. Behaviorism Theory On The Theory Of Behaviorism Essay

One of the theories we have studied this semester in Knowing and Learning in Mathematics and Science is the Behaviorism theory. The behaviorism theory states that behaviorism is a theory on learning that only concentrates on noticeably observable behaviors and disregards any independent activities of the mind. The Behaviorism theory was brought up by Burrhus Frederic Skinner. He based this theory on operant conditioning. This theory has a reinforcing stimulus which can be modified into continuous reinforcement, a fixed ratio schedule, a fixed interval schedule and variable schedules. This allows to shape the behavior of the individual to have a certain outcome. Behaviorism can be described as an assumption that a learner is passive meaning that it responds to its environmental stimuli. The behavior can be shaped by positive and negative reinforcement no matter of previous history. The reinforcement increases the possibility of a behavior to happen again. It is stated that behaviorism is a predecessor to cognitive learning. One of the five most important elements of the behaviorism theory is the reinforcing stimulus. By reinforcing the stimulus it has an effect on the behavior occurring before the reward. This is key to this theory. The second most important elements of the behaviorism theory is schedules of reinforcement. As a result of scheduling the reinforcement it allows the behavior to continue without giving a reward every time the behavior is demonstrated. Theme Of Grotesque In The Tell Tale Heart - 987 Words

The definition of madness is the state of being mentally ill, especially severely. There are a great number of connections between the Gothic genre and the state of madness, such as the obsession with death and the deceased, as well as an infatuation with the grotesque. The mad often claim to witness supernatural phenomenon which are continuously depicted within the Gothic genre. With such a copious amount of connections it is not difficult to imagine that some if not most Gothic characters act as though they are mad. In â€Å"The Tell-Tale Heart† by Edgar Allan Poe Gothic elements are used to convey the madness of the narrator to the reader. The grotesque and an unreliable narrator appear which shows that â€Å"The Tell-Tale Heart† can be†¦show more content†¦A sane man would feel very guilty after murdering an old man over something as insignificant as the appearance of one of his eyes. Retelling such a despicable act would be very difficult for a sane perpet rator and would likely not come in out in such vividly grotesque detail. In this story, the Gothic element of the grotesque shows how the narrator makes terrible decisions with terrible consequences and how he does not feel guilty for killing the old man. Both of these characteristics point strongly to the narrator being a madman. Secondly, the narrator of â€Å"The Tell-Tale Heart† is a man who not only claims to have a mental disease, but also kills an old man due to his gross eye. Is a mentally ill murderer a narrator who is worthy of the reader’s trust? â€Å"The disease had sharpened my senses - not destroyed - not dulled them. Above all was the sense of hearing acute.† (1) The disease that the narrator references in this quotation is a mental disorder. The narrator describes a sharpening of the senses and acute hearing. These two symptoms paired with the fact that he hears the old man’s heartbeat start to become louder and louder after killing and decapitating him, point to schizophrenia. Hamlet leadership free essay sample

Hamlet is one of the everlasting plays written by Shakespeare in 1603. Hamlet is based on a true story, which demonstrates the young Prince of Denmark â€Å"Prince Hamlet† who’s Father was killed by his own brother Claudius. All the characters in Hamlet fight for power, Gertrude married Claudius so she can stay a queen, Prince Hamlet is unhappy about his uncle getting the crown even though he was supposed to be getting the crown. Worst of them all is Claudius who is driven by his greed to commit his own brother’s murder for the crown and the queen. Character of Claudius in â€Å"Hamlet† demonstrates to the reader that Human nature is fundamentally very greedy, power hungry and vengeful because of leadership, which is demonstrated by, Shakespeare through the literary devices such soliloquy and metaphor. Claudius’s power hunger blinded his human nature. Murdering the king, stealing his crown and the queen are not the only things Claudius had done. Claudius married Gertrude right after the death of King Hamlet and gave out a speech in order to get accepted by the nobles of the court in which he says â€Å"Though yet of Hamlet our dear brother’s death†¦ Therefore our sometime sister, now our queen, Th imperial jointress to this warlike state, Have we—as ’twere with a defeated joy, with an auspicious and a dropping eye, with mirth in funeral and with dirge in marriage (1. 2. 13). According to this speech by Claudius he clearly states to the people in the court that his urgent and sinful marriage to Gertrude had happened because for the better of the kingdom. This soliloquy by Claudius Is obviously for Hamlet to forget his Fathers death because of the fear that the more he bring up his fathers death the more likely people would look into it. In order for him to convince the nobles of court he keeps going on with the speech and says â€Å"Young Fortinbras, Holding a weak supposal of our worth Or thinking by our late dear brother’s death Our state to be disjoint and out of frame, †¦. So much for him† (1. 2. 13). According to this now Claudius relates back to when King Hamlet took the land from Norway and now since the army from Norway is trying to attack Denmark again, Claudius totally avoids the war and wins the nobles in the court. Power hunger in Claudius is so strong that he would do anything to keep his queen and the crown by having the people of Denmark by his side. Human Nature changes once it comes to leadership and crown. A great example of it is presented in â€Å"Hamlet† through the soliloquy of Claudius. Claudius is so greedy and blinded for his crown that when he confesses for his sins he says, â€Å"O, my offence is rank it smells to heaven; It hath the primal eldest curse upon’†¦ All may be well† (3. 3. 37). According to this Claudius says his crime is so bad that god can smell it. The â€Å"primal eldest curse† is the reference to the murder of Abel by his brother Cain and in this case Claudius is presented as Cain. Then he says, â€Å"My crown, mine own ambition, and my queen. May one be pardoned and retain th offense? † (3. 3.37) According to this Claudius shows how greedy he is since he asks if there are any possibilities if he can keep the crown, his power and the queen and still be forgiven. The entire soliloquy by Claudius demonstrates how Claudius is just asking god for even more favors, which is not an act of confession since he believes whatever he did, was the right thing to do for his ambition. Being greedy while confessing for the crimes Claudius committed are not the only thing Claudius did. Leadership makes Claudius’s human nature to be very devious. Claudius act of sneakiness is the reason behind everyone’s death in the play. Claudius is obviously happy that Hamlet had murdered Polonius. As soon as Laertes hears about his fathers death he comes back to Denmark right away seeking for revenge and this is what Claudius says â€Å"Now must your conscience my acquaintance seal, And you must put me in your heart for friend, Sith you have heard, and with a knowing ear, That he which hath your noble father slain Pursued my life† (4. 7. 5) According to this Claudius is proving himself not guilty and telling Laertes that Hamlet had killed his father not him. â€Å"And you must put me in your heart for friend† Claudius talking to a common person like this definitely demonstrates that he is manipulating Laertes to kill Hamlet. This is backfiring Laertes because when Laertes asked Claudius why did he send Hamlet away? His simple answer was because he was being a good husband and because Gertrude can’t see her son getting hurt. Claudius act of killing Hamlet is very sneaky since he sends Hamlet to England with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern so they can murder him in England and make it look like an accident. Claudius defends himself and his crown by sneaking and most deaths look like accidents that are obviously caused by him. Human nature can be very greedy, power hungry and sneaky when it comes to leadership. This has been demonstrated by Shakespeare play in Hamlet by one of the Evil character Claudius. At first Claudius murders his own brother for crown and the queen and then manipulates the people of Denmark to focus on the present by trying to make them forget about the past and worry about future. He wins peoples attention by avoiding war with Norway. Nonetheless Claudius human nature is filled with such greediness that when he asks for forgiveness he yet still wants to keep his power and queen, which is not an act of forgiveness. Other then being greedy and power hungry Claudius acts of sneakiness not just kills everyone else but himself as well. Being a leader affects ones human nature to become very filthy, Selfish and Sneaky just in order to maintain their power and their status. Being a good leader means maintaining the power and status without changing their human nature.

A Leader is Nothing Without His Followers Essays

A Leader is Nothing Without His Followers Essays A Leader is Nothing Without His Followers Essay A Leader is Nothing Without His Followers Essay In the June of 1941, Adolf Hitler commenced the killing of many Jews within Germany. Some would not sympathize with him and will say he is a heartless man. However, due to the fact that many Jews have been big business owners back then and have had many advantages over the rest of society. A marxist, whose theory states that â€Å"the workers(the poor, the proletariat) could overthrow the owners(the rich, the bourgeoisie)†(social class/marxist criticism), would feel a little bit more sympathetic towards Hitler for his action. Some marxist, can view Hitler’s action as a way of overthrowing the bourgeoisie. A similar situation, where the rich takes advantage of the poor, can be seen within Arthur Miller’s play, Death of a Salesman. A marxist will view Willy Loman, the protagonist of the play, as a victim of commercial success, which is unfair, distractive, and destructive. WIthin modern society, Donald Trump is regarded as a very successful business man, but for him to become successful he has cheated many companies and banks, just so that he can become successful. As seen in Miller’s play, Biff Loman and Willy Loman are used like objects by their bosses at some point in their lives. When Biff tries to go and borrow some money from his former boss, Bill Oliver, to start a business, Bill â€Å"didn’t remember who [Biff] was or anything†(Miller 81). As seen here Bill has used Biff in the past and now he does not even regard Biff as anything. Furthermore, Willy, whom works for Howard, has also been treated like an object by his boss. Willy’s â€Å"job is a job without pay†(Miller 74). Howard is not even willing to pay Willy, who has â€Å"put thirty-four years into [Howard’s firm]†(Miller 61). Howard’s action shows one that Willy is clearly being used as a stepping stone so that Howard and his firm can become successful. One must not take advantage of the poor and ignore them afterwards, as Willy describes, â€Å"you can’t eat
